codeMantra Announces Collection Point® 2.0

For Immediate Release

New Version Boosts Company’s Ambitions for All-encompassing Digital Publishing Platform

Plymouth Meeting, PA, Oct. 10, 2008 -codeMantra announced its planned release of Collection Point® 2.0, today. The new version of the company’s totally reliable digital asset management and distribution system delivers sensational new features, functionality and add-on applications to help publishers further extend the efficiencies of a digital workflow.

Since it was first introduced in 2005, codeMantra’s development team has aggressively exploited the ASP model to deliver Collection Point® as an affordable hosted offer. With a combination of software and services the company’s DAM/DAD has met the growing demand for hands-on digital warehouse services. An increased number of publishers are turning to Collection Point® as a preferred platform, through which they can better manage their copyrights, and control the sale of assets.

Collection Point 2.0 users will benefit from improved access and production control. From the client side, nested files can be readily accessed. PDF files can be opened in a browser-based viewer for confirmation; XML content can be dynamically rendered and viewed. Content stored at the most granular level can be selected and up-loaded. Production managers can preset conversion requirements prior to the ingestion of final composition or source files. Sales managers can create distribution rules for the automatic release of approved publications.

Singularly unique for a hosted offer, Collection Point® 2.0 opens the door to an exciting new set of capabilities that places users on a path to automated composition and title conversions, along with the dynamic creation of marketing assets. At its stand (Hall 4.2 Q411), at the Frankfurt Book Fair (Oct. 15-19), codeMantra will be demonstrating these astounding new capabilities including:

  • browser-driven workflow culminating in automated composition
  • dynamic creation of electronic and print catalogs
  • creation of custom widgets for search ability and affiliated marketing

“Publishers looking to embrace digital publishing formats and techniques are going to find an affordable approach with our solutions and services,” said Walter Walker, codeMantra’s Director of Publishing Services. “The ability to control and manipulate copyright protected content is no longer the exclusive domain of publishers with the resources to build a dedicated digital warehouse and hire an IT staff.”

Using a comprehensive suite of web-based tools, available anywhere, at any time, Collection Point® allows a publisher’s authorized users to host, repurpose, archive, and deploy its content to multiple channels - and easily take advantage of multiple revenue streams. Collection Point® hosts all versions and formats of a publisher’s digital assets and associates any kind of metadata - ISBNs, file information, publication dates, etc. - with that content.

Pricing & Availability

codeMantra will make Collection Point® 2.0 software available November 1, 2008. Unleashing the Power of the Unbound Book
