[PLYMOUTH MEETING, PA] - codeMantra is happy to announce that we now enable publisher clients to promote books on Google Book Search through our Collection PointTM solution that facilitates archival, distribution, metadata management and supports the Universal PDFTM format that is widely accepted by most digital content distributors and aggregators.
What is the advantage of Google Book Search?
Once your content has been converted and distributed to Google Book Search it is easy for customers to locate your content. Through Google Book Search users can search for the books of their choice just like they perform a search on Google.com. Results whose content contains a match to the search terms are presented with links to the search results. Clicking on a book result, you'll be able to see everything from a few short excerpts to the entire book.
Each book includes an 'About this book' page with basic bibliographic data like title, author, publication date, length and subject. For some books you may also see additional information like key terms and phrases, references to the book from scholarly publications or other books, chapter titles and a list of related books. For every book, you'll see links directing you to bookstores where you can buy the book and libraries where you can borrow it.
As a publisher you have the ability to determine the permissions you make available to those who view your books. You can offer the following choices:
Full view: The customer can page through the entire book from start to finish, as many times as they like.
Limited preview: Only a few pages of the book are presented to the customer for them to make their purchase decision.
Snippet view: Clicking on the book result, the customer will be taken to the 'About this book' page.
No preview available: Only the 'About this book' page displaying bibliographic information about the book, plus links to help you find it in a bookstore or library are displayed. |
