Continuum and codeMantra announce partnership

PLYMOUTH MEETING, Pennsylvania – Jan 04, 2008. The Continuum International Publishing Group is pleased to announce the appointment of codeMantra as provider of digital conversion and distribution services.

Having intellectual property easily accessible in the appropriate digital formats is increasingly important. While the ability to make files available was previously seen as a source of incremental revenue, digital workflows and outputs are now shifting ever closer to the core of publishing strategy. With this appointment Continuum is taking a significant step, making content available for both marketing purposes and for sale. By the middle of 2008 they will have over 1,000 titles available through ebook vendors and have plans to double that figure in the succeeding six months. This partnership will enable Continuum to add considerable value, particularly to the academic community who will be able to access content that is timely, relevant and cost-effective.

Ken Rhodes, Sales & Marketing Director, Continuum said: "codeMantra impressed us with their understanding of our requirements but also, and more importantly, their understanding of our customer partners. While the processes and outputs have intrinsic complexity their workflows and interfaces are extremely user friendly. We’re looking forward to a long and successful partnership with them."

Eileen Colahan, Director, Publishing Services, codeMantra said: "We are very pleased to have Continuum as a long-term partner, and look forward to the many positives as a result of this association for both organizations. This partnership will streamline and enhance digital asset distribution workflow and delivery mechanisms within Collection PointTM, which will be specifically configured to meet Continuum’s long-term publishing and distribution objectives."
