PLYMOUTH MEETING, Pennsylvania – May 12, 2008 – codeMantra welcomes aboard Walter W.J. Walker, our new Director of Publishing Services.

Walter W.J. Walker - Director of Publishing Services. Walter brings to codeMantra more than twenty-five years of combined publishing and software expertise. His career started, in Canada, with McClelland and Stewart, Ltd. He then served as a senior marketing executive for various imprints Simon & Schuster, Inc. and was VP Director of Sales & Marketing for the company’s successful foray into consumer software. He has held business development, sales and strategic marketing responsibilities for many of the companies considered ground breakers in the development of digital rights management and dynamic enterprise publishing technologies. Walter made significant contributions to the development of the global market for 3B2, a leading XML/SGML composition engine for STM journals, textbooks, professional books, government, aerospace and industrial publishing. He followed the acquisition of 3B2 (now APP) to Arbortext, where he continued to develop markets for dynamic publishing. He served most recently as a Director of Strategic Marketing for PTC, Inc, which acquired Arbortext in 2005. Walter holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Victoria.
